I've always thought that behind his primitively gruff exterior, Killer Croc hid an inquisitive intellect. When he's not on screen or on panel, I imagine he spends his time contemplating the great questions of the universe. And playing chess with insane women.

Harley, too, has an intellectual streak. So pairing the two of them together for a friendly chess game just seemed natural to me.

Harley's costume is one of those iconic designs that I don't think needs much tinkering. The Arkham Asylum game version of her costume is terribly garish. So I wanted to stick as close to her original as possible. I added an addition cut to further emphasize her duality.

Actually the original killer croc was a high level crime boss and master strategist and apparently really good with a sniper rifle, the croc motif was for when his plans failed so he could probably beat Harley in chess... Checkers she would win but chess is all him

Well it always depends on who's writing him... But there was a great Secret Origins episode in the eighties where he was the narrator of the Floronic Man's story which had him in Arkham being very intelligent and insightful with the mad brute act being a way to bide his time while he recovered from the last Batman fight.

croc is smarter in arkham asylum than in previous media, and as for harley, well it depends on the incarnation

I wouldn't know about that. But I wouldn't expect Croc to be a complete dummy. What with all the navigation in the sewers and the open sea. Gotta be pretty smart to remember those roots. Including becoming a good swimmer, too.

Harley Quinn on the other hand is more of a child then an intellectual doctor. Seems she spends most of her time making impressions with the Joker.

Anyway, great drawing and coloring. Croc seems to be under pressure. :D
